Ingredients
Main Casserole:
1 (30 oz) bag frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
2 cups sour cream
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
Salt & pepper, to taste
Topping:
2 cups crushed corn flakes
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Combine hash browns, sour cream, soup, cheese, butter, onion, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Mix crushed corn flakes with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until hot and bubbly with a golden, crispy top.
Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
